PRATT — Gabriel Rojelio Nava, 15, passed away Saturday, Oct. 9, 2021 at his home. He was born on Jan. 13, 2006 in Great Bend to Rojelio Nava and Minta Akin. 

Gabriel was a Sophomore at Pratt High School. He worked as a dishwasher at Club D’Est. He enjoyed gardening flowers and cactus, loved animals, cooking and hanging out with friends.

He is survived by his mother, Minta Akin of the home; brothers, Julio Nava of Salina, Edward Nava of Salina, Rueben Nava of Pratt, Rick Heuer of Mary Esther, Florida, Shawn Marlow of Oklahoma, Kyle Heuer of Pratt, Jack Heuer of Pratt, Cody (Haylee) Shellhammer of Anthony, Steve Cherry of LaCrosse; sisters, Melissa (Jesus) Calderon of Salina, Maria Nava of Salina, Tyra (Derrick) Reynolds of Great Bend, Tiffany (Jared) Wheeler of Hopkinsville, Kent., Amber Heuer and Lisa Moore of Great Bend; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews; and his girlfriend, Desirae Geyer of Pratt. Gabriel is preceded in death by his father, Rojelio Nava.

Visitation will be Wednesday, Oct. 13, 2021 from 2 p.m. - 8 p.m. with family receiving friends from 5-7 at Larrison Mortuary, 300 Country Club Road, Pratt. Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, Oct. 14, 2021 at Larrison Mortuary, Pratt with Pastor Mike McGovney presiding.
