George Roger Willenberg 1975 - 2013

HOISINGTON — George Roger Willenberg, 37, died July 7 at Wilson Lake in Russell County. Born Dec. 27, 1975 in Great Bend, he was the son of Wayne and Deloris (Edmisten) Willenberg. He grew up on a farm north of Claflin and attended schools there. George worked in the oil field for several companies and was a general handyman.
Mr. Willenberg was a member of the Veterans of Foreign War Men’s Auxiliary in Hoisington.
Survivors include, two children Wain Waymaster of Holyrood and Shannon Willenberg of Norman, Okla.; step daughter, Dray Presley of Norman, Okla.; mother Deloris Willenberg of Claflin; three brothers Mike Willenberg and Jack Willenberg all of Claflin, and Dennis Willenberg of Austin, Texas; a sister Lana Zajic of Wilson; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father; and sister Dana Willenberg.
The family will be holding private services at a later date. Cremation has taken place.
