Greg Schaben, 29, of Great Bend, died Oct. 27 at Great Bend Regional Hospital. He was born July 31, 1981, at Great Bend, the son of Johnny and Yolanda (Schaben) Schaben. He was a truck driver for Farm Service Center and a lifetime Great Bend resident.

Mr. Schaben was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.

Survivors include his parents, of Great Bend; a sister, Kimberly Achatz of Derby; a nephew, Kaden Achatz of Derby; his paternal grandmother, Johnette Schaben of Bazine, and maternal grandparents, Lyle and Nathalie Schaben of Great Bend. He was preceded in death by a grandfather, Ronald Schaben.

A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Trinity Lutheran Church, Great Bend, with the Rev. James A. Strasen officiant. Inurnment will be at Great Bend Cemetery North. There will be no visitation, as cremation has taken place. A memorial fund in his name has been established for the church, and donations may be made in care of the funeral home.
