ELLINWOOD — Helen Mae Standlee 81, died July 22, 2011 at the Ellinwood District Hospital.
She was born January 27, 1930 at Wynona, Oklahoma, the daughter of Nathan and Nora (Hearin) Berryhill.
She married Kenneth Carl Standlee June 29, 1946 at Hays. He died September 11, 2008.
Mrs. Standlee was a homemaker who enjoyed painting and papering. She was an Ellinwood resident since 1964, coming from Plainville. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Ellinwood.  She enjoyed fishing, garage sales and spending time with family and friends.
Survivors include two sons, Jerry Standlee and wife Mary, Ellinwood; Rick Standlee and wife Jacci, Ellinwood; 10 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by a son, Curtis Standlee; two brothers, Don Berryhill and Bud Berryhill; two sisters, Opal Berryhill and Erma Reeves; and a grandson, Kenneth M. Standlee.
Services for both Kenneth and Helen Standlee are scheduled at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 26 at the Bryant Funeral Home with Officiant Pastor Rick Standlee. Interment will be at Lakin-Comanche District Cemetery, Ellinwood.
Visitation is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., with the family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, July 25 at the Bryant Funeral Home. Memorials, in lieu of flowers, are suggested to the Alzheimer’s Association, in care of the Bryant Funeral Home.
