Hilda Eleanor Meisner 1921-2013


GREAT BEND — Hilda Eleanor Meisner, 91, died March 20, 2013 at Cherry Village Nursing Home, Great Bend.
She was born Oct. 31, 1921, the daughter of Dave and Olinda (Bitter) Ehrlich.
She married William Galliart in 1940. They were divorced. She married Earl Haines in 1961. He died in 1963. She married Henry Meisner in 1982. He died in 1983.
A lifetime sales clerk and store operator, Mrs. Meisner was a longtime Great Bend resident, also residing in Ft. Morgan, Colo. She was a Kansas and Colorado Chapter member of Polka Lovers Klub of America.
Survivors include a daughter, Sharon Smolik and her husband Robert, Great Bend; a granddaughter, Darla Stroud and her husband Eugene, Great Bend; two great-granddaughters, Jamie Stroud, Great Bend; Jessika Stroud, Great Bend; a sister, Dorothy O’Connell, Littleton, Colo.; several nieces and nephews and a beloved granddog, Jezebel.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Julius Ehrlich.
Funeral Service is scheduled at 10 a.m. Friday at Bryant Funeral Home, Great Bend, with The Rev. Adam Wutka officiating. Interment will be at Golden Belt Memorial Park, Great Bend. Visitation is scheduled from noon to 9 p.m. Thursday at Bryant Funeral Home with family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m.
Memorial Funds are suggested to the Golden Belt Home Health and Hospice or Shriner’s Travel Fund, in care of Bryant Funeral Home.
