Howard Michael Schnittker 1938 - 2014

PRATT — Howard Michael Schnittker (Brother Michael, C.Ss.R.), 76, died Jan. 20, at St. Clement Health Care Center in Liguori, Mo. from an injury sustained in a fall. He was born July 24, 1938, at Pratt the son of Joseph A. and Elsie A. (Glenn) Schnittker.  
He served in the United States Navy from 1959 to 1963, receiving a good conduct medal. He joined the Congregation of the Most Holy Redeemer, Providence of Denver on Aug. 5, 1973, and became “Brother Michael.”
Survivors include a sister, Joleen Tustin of Great Bend; a brother, Delmar Schnittker of Grand Lake, Colo.; and 14 nieces and nephews.
A Rosary service was held on Jan. 23 and Mass of Christian Burial was held at 10 a.m. on Jan. 24, both at St. Clement Chapel, Liguori, Mo. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Monday at Larrison Mortuary, 300 Country Club Road in Pratt, with a graveside service to follow at 2 p.m. at Maud Cemetery in Cunningham. Memorial contributions may be made to the donor’s choice charity in honor of Howard and can be sent to Larrison Mortuary. Condolences may be left at www.larrisonmortuary.com.
