ELLSWORTH — Janice R. McCaulley, 79, passed away Tuesday, June 12, 2018 in Ellsworth. She was born Dec. 14, 1938 on the family farm near Scandia, Kan. to Loren V. and Maxine (Milner) Florell.
Janice married Roger L. McCaulley at Amana Lutheran Church in Scandia on Sept. 6, 1958. A longtime resident of Ellsworth, Janice was the director of business for USD 327 until she retired after 29 years of service.
She was a member of the Ellsworth First United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women, the Honor & Glory Fellowship, and a local pitch club since 1972. She was also a volunteer at the Ellsworth County Food Bank and Kids of the Kingdom.
Janice is survived by her husband, Roger of Ellsworth; son, Russell L. McCaulley (Rachel) of Great Bend; daughter, Shirlene S. Shepard (Max) of Bennington; granddaughter, Danielle M. Morgan of Tulsa, Okla.; grandson, Scott L. McCaulley of Oklahoma City, Okla.; granddaughters, Shara and Jayci Shepard of Bennington; great grandsons, Jack and Lucas Morgan of Tulsa, Okla.; sister, Victoria Nylund (Jim) of Scandia; sisters-in-law, Sharon Davenport (Ray) and Terrie Stokes (Charles); and brother-in-law, Vernon McCaulley (Marian). She was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation: 1-8 p.m., Friday, June 15, 2018 at Parsons Funeral Home, Ellsworth with family present 6-8 p.m. Funeral service: 10 a.m., Saturday, June 16, 2018 at Ellsworth First United Methodist Church.
