ELLINWOOD – Jerry L. Kaiser, 61, died Sept. 3, 2011, at Ellinwood District Hospital in Ellinwood.
He was born April 3, 1950, in Ellinwood, the son of John and Leona Blazek Kaiser. A lifetime Ellinwood resident, he was retired from law enforcement. He married Dana Fischer on Sept. 8, 1979, at Great Bend. They later divorced.
Survivors include his wife of the home; one son Chad L. Kaiser and his wife Kendra, Great Bend; two daughters, Christa J. Chesmore and her husband Charlie, Topeka; and Cami S. Thomas and her husband Josh, Ellinwood; and eight grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister.
A funeral service is scheduled at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Ellinwood with the Rev. Charles Mazouch officiating. Burial will be at Lakin-Comanche District Cemetery in Ellinwood.
Memorials are suggested to Ellinwood Emergency Medical Services or the Wetlands at Cheyenne Bottoms.
