Juanita I. Rose, 76, died Oct. 26 at Kansas Heart Hospital in Wichita. Born Jan. 27, 1935 in Stonington, Colo., she was the daughter of Louie and Goldie (Sloan) Burhenn. On Aug. 14, 1954 she married William Robert Rose in Great Bend. A resident of Great Bend since 1954, coming from Radium, she was a pre-school teacher for Berean Pre-school at the First Assembly of God. She loved taking care of children.

Mrs. Rose was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Great Bend.

Survivors include her husband, William Robert Rose, of the home; two daughters, Phyllis Rose, Assemblies of God World Missionary, Lima, Peru, and Helen Tiede and husband Dale of Mission; four sisters, Virginia Richmond of Waverly, Betty Veesart of Tunas, Mo., Wanda Schrock of Salina, and Joyce Rose of Great Bend; and two grandsons, Robert Tiede and his fiancée Jennifer Reynolds of Kansas City, Mo. and Jeffrey Tiede, serving with the United States Navy in Japan. She was preceded in death by a son, Robert Rose.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday at the First Assembly of God Church with the Rev. J.P. McCamey and the Rev. Dwight Dozier officiating. Burial will be at the Hillcrest Memorial Park in Great Bend. The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m. on Sunday at Bryant Funeral Home. Memorials are suggested to the Kidney Foundation or the First Assembly of God Missions Department, in care of the funeral home. Condolences may be sent and notice viewed at www.bryantfh.net.
