GENESEO — Kathy Lynn Sneath, 78, of Geneseo, Kan., passed away Sept. 17, 2026, at her home. She was born Sept. 14, 1948, in Great Bend, Kan., the daughter of Edwin and JoAnne Adams. Kathy has resided in Geneseo since 1969, formerly of Sterling, Kan.

She graduated from Sterling High School, with the class of 1967, and from the Professional Beauty School in Wichita, Kan., in 1968. Kathy worked as a news columnist correspondent for the Lyons Daily News, Ellsworth Reporter, and the Monitor Journal in Little River for many years. She also delivered friendship meals, cleaned houses, and was a waitress when she was younger. Kathy was a member of the Geneseo United Methodist Church. She enjoyed golfing, playing softball, gardening, going to the lake, loved animals, and most of all spending time with her family.

On Aug. 9, 1969, Kathy was united in marriage with Gerald Sneath in Salina, Kan.

Kathy is survived by her husband, Gerald Sneath of Geneseo, Kan.; two sons, Cory Wade Sneath and wife Julie Bradford of Holyrood, Kan., and Shane Thomas Sneath of Geneseo, Kan.; two grandchildren, Jordan Bradford and wife Tiffany of Ellsworth, Kan., and Alexis Sneath and husband Scott Mockerman of Holyrood, Kan.; and five great-grandchildren, Klayton Bradford, Rayne Bradford, Remington Bradford, Isis Sneath, and Mira-Jane Mockerman. Kathy is preceded in death by her parents; and maternal grandparents, Raymond and Louise Louis.

Celebration of Life will be at 1 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 17, 2026, at the BCDI Building, Bushton. Memorials may be given to Birzer Funeral Home, Lyons.
