Larry Dean Lunsford, 77, died March 14, 2013 at Ellinwood District Hospital. He was born Jan. 13, 1936 at Cunningham, the son of Ronald R. “Blackie” & Velma Mae (Waters) Lunsford.
He married Jeanine Cluster June 9, 1956 at Great Bend.   He worked for the Bureau of Indian Affairs on the Rosebud Reservation from 1963 to 1966, was manager of the Sandhills Cattle Association at Valentine, Neb., from 1966 to 1970, and farmed with his father in Stafford County from 1970 to 1985.  He has since been the owner and operator of the Great Bend Dairy Queen. Mr. Lunsford was a Great Bend, Kansas resident most of his life and served in the National Guard.  
He was a member of First United Methodist Church, Elks Lodge, and Jaycees.
He is survived by his wife, Jeanine Lunsford, of the home; one daughter, Candi Lunsford of Seward; and one grandson, Zak Rabenseifner. He was preceded in death by one brother, Dale Lunsford.
Funeral Service: will be 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday at the First United Methodist Church in Great Bend with The Reverend Lennie Maxwell officiating.
Interment will be at Great Bend Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., with the family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday at Bryant Funeral Home.
