LARNED - Leonard Leroy Erway, 78, passed away November 26, 2020 at Leisure Homestead of St. John.
He was born November 20, 1942 in Wichita, the son of Marvin and Marie Wheatley Erway.
A Lifetime area resident, he was a powerplant operator for Larned State Hospital and was of the Nazarene faith.
On June 13, 1962 he married Barbara Greathouse in Larned; she preceded him in death on March 2, 2014.
Survivors include: two daughters, Kimberly Sumner, Lafayette, Indiana, Melissa and husband Randy Jacobs, Great Bend; a half-brother, George Welsch, Larned; four grandchildren, Kegan Sumner, Konner Sumner, Zackery Jacobs, Gabby Jacobs; three great grandchildren, Ayden Williams, Preston Sumner and Karoline Towery.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Dale Erway and a half-brother, Max Welsch.
A private memorial graveside service will be held at the Larned Cemetery, Larned with Pastor John Thomas presiding. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday, November 29, 2020 at Beckwith Mortuary, Larned.
