ELLINWOOD — Lloyd Eldridge Wood Jr., 76, died September 17, 2019.  

Born August 30, 1943 to Lloyd Sr. and Dorothy Russell in Kansas City, Mo., Wood was a resident of Ellinwood since 1972. 

A graduate of Kansas City Washington HS and Washburn University, Wood opened Pop’N Shop in Ellinwood in 1976. 

He is survived by Lynda, his wife of 51 years; children Lloyd III (Woody), Washington, D.C.; and Joanna Hohn, Manhattan, Kan.; grandchildren, Elizabeth and Ryan Hohn; and sisters Shirley Hartshorn, Kansas City, Kan.; and Linda Pittman, Blue Springs, Mo.  

A celebration of Wood’s life will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Ellinwood at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 19.
