Luis “Jim” Glynn

Luis “Jim” Glynn, 87, passed away at South Central Medical Center in Arkansas City, Kan. on Nov. 13, 2020. Born in Chicago, Ill. on May 15, 1933 to his mother Grace (VanSteenburgh) Warnick, he was a 60 year resident of Great Bend formerly of Sedalia, Mo. Jim worked for the General Services Administration in Great Bend until his retirement. In addition, he enjoyed photography which he practiced while a member of the Great Bend photography club.  

Survivors include sons, Robert (Jennifer) Glynn, Great Bend, Kan. and Donnie Glynn, Hudson, Kan.; daughter, Brenda (Rex) Johnston, Pratt, Kan. He is also survived by four grandchildren, Garrett Glynn and Greg Glynn of Great Bend; Shane McGreevy and Kaci Lankard of Pratt; and nine great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother.

Due to health concerns a memorial service will be scheduled at a later date. Memorials are suggested to Quivira National Wildlife Refuge in care of Minnis Chapel, PO Box 246, Ellinwood, KS 67526. Condolences may be posted at www.minnischapel.org.
