Lynn R. Davis, 69, died August 6, 2015, at Woodhaven Care Center, Ellinwood. He was born Feb. 11, 1946, in Larned, the son of Albert and Florentine (Bieker) Davis.
He married Judy M. Cure at on Feb. 26, 1982 at Larned. She survives.
Originally from Larned, he moved to Hoisington in 2011. In his earlier years Lynn worked at the CO-OP in Larned, and then as a farm hand for multiple different farmers. He then earned his certificate for nursing assistant and worked as a CNA for many years. Lynn graduated from Larned High School in 1964.
Survivors include, eight sons, Scott Davis and wife Paula of McPherson, Kenneth Davis and wife Nathalia of Lawton, OK., Westley Davis and wife Sonya of Charleston, MO. Kelly Swaney of Larned, Jody Swaney and wife Marie of Waterford, CA, Tony Swaney and wife Amy of Osh Kosh, NE, Todd McKinney and wife Maria of Jetmore; brothers, Al Davis of Elyria, Ron Davis of Sterling; mother-in-law, Rosetta Johnson of Pueblo, CO; 20 grandchildren including Greg Conaway, Caleb Swaney, and Sadie Swaney, that Lynn helped raise; and 5 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Paul Swaney, three infant sons, Scott Albert, Perry, and Jack Davis, brother, Rick Davis, and one grandchild
Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, August 10, 2015 at Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home, with Pastor Larry Schumacher presiding.
