Margaret Ann Asher 1931 - 2022

Margaret Ann Asher, 90, passed away January 20, 2022, at University Of Kansas Health System - Great Bend Campus, Great Bend.  She was born August 21, 1931, to Herman and Marguerite (England) Hahn. Ann married Herbert William “Bill” Asher Sept. 5, 1950.  He passed away Jan. 14, 1979.

Ann, a long-time resident of Stafford County, was a member of First Congregational United Church of Christ, Great Bend.  She was an active farm wife, who enjoyed all aspects of country living.  She was a gifted artist, loved to bake and entertain, always having an open door to family, neighbors and friends.

Survivors include one son, Tim Asher of Great Bend; five grandchildren, Adam Schneweis (Aimee), Blake Schneweis (Lacy), Lisa Clauss (Chris), Amanda Pfenniger (Scott) and Will Asher; and six great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her daughter, Pamela Schneweis Hunter; infant grand daughter, Amy Schneweis (Pamela’s daughter); and a brother, Robert Hahn.

Funeral services will be held 2:30 p.m. Friday, January 28, 2022, at Bryant Funeral Home.  Interment will follow at Great Bend Cemetery, Great Bend.  Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, January 27, with family receiving friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., all at Bryant Funeral Home.  Memorials may be given to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, in care of Bryant Funeral Home.
