SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — Margaret L. (Marge) Medlam, 84, passed away in Springfield, Mo., on the morning of Aug. 21, after battling cancer for more than two years. Margaret was born on March 25, 1929, to Uriah Wood and Hazel Short in Nevada, Mo., where she also attended school and was a member of the Assemblies of God church.
She is survived by her only son, Rick (Althea) Medlam, grandsons Dustin (Mendy) and Jeremy (Amber) Medlam, four great-grandsons, and two great-granddaughters, all of greater- Springfield, Mo. Her sister Mary (Jim) Dyche, of Pratt, also survives her. She is preceded in death by her husband, Olen Medlam; sisters Terry and Sally; her brother Dan; and both mother and father.
A burial service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, in the Veterans Circle of the Great Bend Cemetery.
