CANYON, Texas — Margie Helen (Bragg) Cooper, 85, died Feb. 27 in Amarillo Texas. Born on Dec. 20, 1927 in Goodman, Mo., she was the daughter of Lena Juliet (Rush) Bragg and August Clifton Bragg. On Sept. 15, 1945 she married Richard D. Cooper in Neosho, Mo. He preceded her in death on Jan. 30, 1977. A resident of Hoisington from 1947 to 2012, moving to Canyon, Texas, she  worked as office manager for Dr. Merle Fieser and Dr. Keith Wolfenbarger for 25 years before retiring in 1995. Margie was known by many as “Granny.” She enjoyed working in her garden which included various vegetables and flowers. Another of her many gifts was quilting. Each piece was a true work of art. She was a wonderful cook and was especially known for her peanut brittle, carrot cookies and coconut cream pie.  
Survivors include three daughters, Linda Diane (Cooper) Beck and husband, Al, of Olathe, Deborah Joan (Cooper) Boxberger and husband, Steve, of Canyon, Texas, and Rebecca Leigh (Cooper) Raplinger and husband, Mike, of Arlington, Texas; six grandchildren, Kayleen Beck, Kevin Beck and wife, Dawn, Darrah Boxberger, Andra Boxberger, Elizabeth Raplinger, and Mary Katherine Raplinger; three great-grandchildren, Jordyn, Austin and Mackenzi Beck; and one brother, Dr. Ron Bragg and wife, Donna, of Carthage, Mo. She was also preceded in death by five brothers, Leo, Vernon, Raymond, Frank, and Clifton Bragg; and four sisters, Laura Abbott, Betty Burgard, Dorothy Brown, and Joy Crocker.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Brooks Chapel in Canyon, Texas with Pastor Ty Lovell, Men’s Minister at Trinity Fellowship Church, officiating. Burial will be at Dreamland Cemetery.
