Martha Jane Cline

Martha Jane Cline, 55, passed away Nov. 19, 2021, at Research Medical Center, Kansas City, Mo. She was born on June 5, 1966, at Hoisington, to Basil and Lou Ann (Brinson) Fitzpatrick. She married Roy Cline in Great Bend on Jan. 26, 1990.

A lifetime Barton County resident, Martha was a 15 year employee/manager at Club 1 Fitness. She also had previously worked in the Environmental Services department at Larned State Hospital and as a custodian for USD 428. She was a member of CrossPoint Church of Great Bend, where she taught children’s church and facilitated a Bible Study. She enjoyed raising her kids and grandchildren, and was also known to be a “mom” to many other children. Martha especially loved to spend time with her family.

Survivors include, three daughters, Amber Cline and Katrina Cline, both of Great Bend, and Dessa Cline of Junction City; two brothers, Russell Hunter of Great Bend, and Buddy Fitzpatrick of Missouri; a sister, Debra Richardson of Texas; two grandchildren, Lydia Miller and Katara Leon; her grandcat; and a large extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, David Hunter. 

There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place. Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 27, 2021, at Cross Point Church in Great Bend, with Clay Boepple presiding. Memorials have been designated to the Martha Cline Memorial Expense Fund, in care of Bryant Funeral Home. Condolences may be sent and notice viewed at www.bryantfh.net.
