WICHITA — Mary Frances Penka, 94, passed away Saturday, May 21, 2022. Mary was born in Beaver, Ks. to Frank and Anna (Kultgen) Penka. She was baptized, attended school for 10 years at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Beaver, Ks., and shared her faith wherever life took her. She married Wilfred Polzin, U.S. Navy, at St. Joseph’s. They had one child who died in infancy. Mary and Wilfred made their final home in Norfolk, VA. Mary made it her life’s work helping others in domestic sales with joy.

Survived by sister, Phyllis Penka Hashman of Phoenix, Az.; Katherine Vohs and Karen Wallace and many more nieces and nephews.

Visitation, 9 a.m., Tuesday, May 31, with a Rosary following at 9:30 a.m. and Memorial Mass at 10 a.m., St. Cecilia Catholic Church, Haysville, Kan. Final resting place, 3 p.m., St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Beaver, Ks.
