Mary Rose Lauber, 67, passed away Sept. 17, 2023, at Medicalodges of Great Bend. She was born July 18, 1956, at Great Bend, to Eugene and Okla (Dixon) Addington. She married Larry Gene Lauber on June 17, 1977, in Great Bend. He passed Nov. 20, 2020.
A lifetime Great Bend resident, Mary was a CNA at many nursing homes in Great Bend. Mary enjoyed fishing, riding motorcycles, horses, crocheting, playing bingo and was an avid reader. She enjoyed spending time with her family.
Survivors include, four sons, Larry Lauber, Jr. and wife Jayda, Andrew Lauber and Daniel Lauber and wife Janice all of Great Bend, and Jason Lauber of Lyons; a daughter, Raven Hamit and husband David of Great Bend; and 16 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Lauber; two brothers, Bobby Addington and James “Jimmy” Addington; and two sisters, Rossie Lauber and Marie Drewel.
Visitation will be held from noon to 8 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 20, 2023, at Bryant Funeral Home, with family to receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, Sept. 21, 2023, at Bryant Funeral Home, with Chaplain Jeffrey Owen presiding. Interment will be in the Great Bend Cemetery. Memorials have been designated to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, in care of Bryant Funeral Home.
