LITTLETON, Colo. — Neva Alene (Riggs) Moore Morris, age 96, of Littleton, Colo. passed away on Thursday, Dec. 8, 2022.

Her Earthly life came to a close peacefully in her sleep when she went to her eternal home on Dec. 8, 2022, in Centennial, Colo. at age 96.

She was the last of her immediate family, and now has a well-deserved rest from working hard and from a life lived full.

She was born Aug. 12, 1926, in their farm home near Rush Center, Kan. the daughter of Emma (Smith) Riggs and Lester Riggs.

She graduated from high school in Great Bend, Kan. in 1944 and worked at Southwestern Bell Telephone Company. She married Glenn Moore Oct. 5, 1945, becoming a hardworking farmer’s wife, while continuing to work for the telephone company. They raised three daughters on a farm near Albert, Kan. and after 25 years of marriage they divorced in 1970.

She transferred to Denver, Colo. in 1970 and later married Bill Morris on April 20, 1975. She retired in 1985 at the young age of 59 and enjoyed her family, learning, singing, dancing, jewelry making, needle point and her collection of rocks. She also held other miscellaneous jobs during her retirement that she called her FUN money.

She will be dearly missed by survivors: children, Norma J. (Terry) Beadles of Clarkston Wash., June A. (Gerald) Schneider of Great Bend, Kan., Sharon K. (Wayne) Riggs of Littleton, Colo.; grandchildren, Brenda (Rich) Kennedy, Lynn Kern, Gordon (Elizabeth) McAfee, April (Aaron) Watson, Stephanie Riggs, Timothy Riggs, (Ivy Riggs), Tina (Jeff) Kastle; and 22 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Neva was preceded in death by her parents; husbands Glenn Moore and Bill Morris; and siblings Gladys Radke, Gerald Riggs, Marjorie Riggs, Virgil Riggs, Marvin Riggs; and granddaughter Debbie Bond; and great-great-granddaughter Adassa Nichols.

For we are so fortunate to have had a Mother such as she.

She would love to be remembered with funny, strange, or silly stories that would honor what was good and blessed in her life.
