HUTCHINSON — Norma Giesick, 60, passed Friday, Aug. 2, 2019. She was born Jan. 14, 1959, in La Crosse, Kan., to Harold Dean and Mary Ella (Johnson) Dalton.
She attended Otis-Bison High School, Barton Community College and received her degree as an RHIT from the American Health Mgt. Assoc. Norma enjoyed her work in medical records for 26 years at Good Samaritan Society Village.
Her favorite pastimes were traveling, observing Mother Nature’s beauty, outdoor activities, riding ATV’s, motorcycling with her husband, and spending time with her family.
On Dec. 13, 1974, she married Robert Giesick in La Crosse. Her husband, Robert (Bob), of 44 years, survives. Also surviving are children, Jesse Giesick and wife Heather; Melissa Ratzlaff and husband Kyle; grandchildren, Monica Giesick, Kade Ratzlaff and Kameron Ratzlaff, all of Hutchinson; brothers, Jerry Dalton and wife Rhonda of Wichita, Robert Dalton and wife Mary of Bison, and Jimmy Dalton of Great Bend; sisters, Lonnie Call and partner Barry Morrell of Arlington, Connie Wharton and husband Lyle of Clay Center; and sister-in-law, Debbie Dalton of Otis.
Norma was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Terry Dalton.
Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 10, 2019, at First Church of the Nazarene, 4290 N. Monroe, Hutchinson, with Pastor Kent Pedersen officiating. Cremation has taken place. Friends may sign her register from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday thru Friday, with family present from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Elliott Mortuary and Crematory, Hutchinson. In lieu of flowers, memorial suggestions are to the Good Samaritan Society-Hutchinson Village, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
