Norma Lea Gray 1937 - 2015

ST. JOHN — Norma Lea Gray, 78, died April 14, 2015 at Southwind Hospice in Pratt. Born Feb. 1, 1937, in Creek County, Okla., she was the daughter of Lester and Ruby (Browning) Allen. On Aug. 18, 1952, she married Melvin Eugene Gray in Oilton, Okla.
Mrs. Gray was a member of the First Baptist Church in St. John.
Survivors include her husband, Melvin Eugene Gray, of the home; four sons, Rusty Gray of St. John, Tommy Gray and his wife Carol of Pawnee Rock, Rodney Gray of Great Bend, and Billy Gray of Nebraska; four daughters, Rhonda Roe and her husband Jim of Larned, Ruby Byerly of Topeka, Treasa Gray of New Mexico, and Cordila Gray of Great Bend; two brothers, Melvin Lea of Great Bend, and Jerry Southard of Oklahoma City, Okla.; nine grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son, Elmer DeWayne Gray; and two brothers, Marvin Lea, and Jimmy Lea.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Bryant Funeral Home with the Rev. Dick Ogle officiating. Burial will be at the Springdale Cemetery in Chase. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to the Norma Gray Funeral Expense Fund, in care of the funeral home.
