Patricia Lynn Pat Jones 1954-2011

GREENSBURG – Patricia Lynn "Pat" Jones, 56, died Feb. 13, 2011, at Wesley Medical Center, Wichita. She was born Dec. 9, 1954, in Tyndall, S.D., the daughter of Lawrence James Sr. and Velma Kathryn Perkins Flakus.

She married Charles Jones in Greensburg on Aug. 12, 1979. He survives.

Mrs. Jones was an auto parts sales and inventory clerk for Greensburg Farm Supply. She had lived in South Dakota, Wellsville, and Greensburg since 1978. She graduated from Wellsville High School in 1973, and attended Dental College in Emporia.

Survivors include: Her husband of the home; a son Jesse Jones, Greensburg; two daughters, Jolena Bruce and husband Ben, Great Bend, and Ashli Miller, Lafayette, Colo.; four grand-children, Dylan and Damian Jones, Ethan Bruce and Sadie Miller; four brothers, Lawrence Flakus Jr., Wellsville, Richard Flakus, Ramsey, Minn., Charles Flakus, Kansas City, Kan., and Eugene Flakus, Lawrence; three sisters, Sharon Haupt, Lawrence, Mary Arnett, Pamona, and Barbara Flakus, Overland Park. She was preceded in death by her father and a sister, Cecelia Flakus.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday at the Greensburg Mennonite Church, with Rev. Jeffrey D. Blackburn officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery, Mullinville. Memorials are suggested to the American Lung Association in care of Fleener Funeral Home, 514 S. Main St., Greensburg, Kansas, 67054.
