Patricia "Pat" Rowe, 74, of Great Bend, died Oct. 28 at Great Bend Health and Rehabilitation Center, Great Bend. She was born June 20, 1936, at Winfield, the daughter of Clarence and Christine (Cranston) Sumner. She married Bill Rowe on June 5, 1954, at Winfield. She was a homemaker and a Great Bend resident since 1968, coming from Winfield.
Mrs. Rowe was a member of the Lake Barton Ladies Golf Association. A loving wife, mother and grandmother, she was an avid golfer. She also loved to play bridge and was a member of many bridge groups throughout her life.
Survivors include her husband, Bill R. Rowe, of the home; three sons, Bob Rowe and wife Charlotte of Enid, Okla., Bill Rowe and wife Brenda of Wichita and Greg Rowe and wife Jo of Great Bend; one daughter, Kris Smolik and husband Ken of Great Bend; nine grandchildren, Misti Schmidt, Bobby Rowe, Aaron Rowe, Jeff Rowe, Ryan Rowe, Stacy Bouse, Marc Rowe, Scott Smolik and Michael Smolik; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Monday at First Southern Baptist Church in Great Bend, with the Rev. Doyle Smith officiant. Interment will be at the Great Bend Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 to 9 p.m. today at Bryant Funeral Home, with family receiving friends from 2 until 4 p.m. Donations to a memorial fund for the church may be made in care of the funeral home.
