CONCORDIA — Phyllis A. Winter, 74, died  March 5 at Cloud County Health Center in Concordia. Born on Nov. 20, 1939, in Concordia, she was the daughter of James and Mary (Cote) Breen. She graduated from Notre Dame Catholic High School. On Feb. 24, 1958, she married Willis “Willie” D. Winter. She was a secretary/bookkeeper for Palmquist Drug Store, Associate Financial and various other businesses.  
Mrs. Winter was a member of the Concordia Lutheran Church.
Survivors include her husband, of Concordia; three sons, Casey Winter and wife Teresa of Great Bend, and John Winter and Mike Winter, both of Concordia; two brothers, Jim Breen and wife Sheila of Olathe, and Bob Breen of Laughlin, Nev.; three sisters, Margaret Breen of Topeka, Jane Rea and husband Mike of Wichita, and Pat Hoover and husband John of Clearwater; four grandchildren, Angie Stoney and husband Jerred, Preston Winter, Stacey Winter and Lake Winter; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; and sisters, Dolores Sherbert and Christine Breen.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 8, the at Concordia Lutheran Church with the Rev. David Strommen officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., with the family greeting friends from 6 to 7 p.m., Friday at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home.
