Raymond E. Ray Wyatt 1924 - 2017

BELLA VISTA, Ark. — Raymond E. “Ray” Wyatt, 92, passed away at Highlands Health care in Bella Vista, Ark. on Aug. 17, 201,7 after a short illness.
Ray was born Nov. 2, 1924, to LeRoy and Clara Wyatt in Norton. He graduated from Norton High School and was drafted in 1944. He served as a Seaman First Class in the United States Navy until he was honorably discharged in June 1946. After leaving the service he returned to Norton to work on the family farm.
He married Maxine McCoy in 1947. They were married 67 years until her death in 2014. The Wyatts moved to Great Bend in 1953. Mr. Wyatt operated a number of retail stores until he retired. In 1995, they moved to Bella Vista, Ark. where he was a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus and the American Legion.
He made many friends and was frequently seen on the golf course or around a table playing cards and board games.
He was preceded in death by his wife Maxine; his parents, six brothers; five sisters; and an infant son. He is survived by many nieces, nephews and his Bella Vista friends.
Funeral mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 25, 2017 at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Bella Vista, Ark. The family will be at the church from 9-10 a.m. to share memories. On-line condolences may be made at www.funeralmation.com.
