Robert (Rick) Patrick Keenan II

Robert (Rick) Patrick Keenan II passed peacefully in his sleep at home in Mazatlan, Mexico after a two year battle with cancer. Daughter Ashley Keenan, and wife Angelica were by his side.

Rick attended Christ the King parochial, Regis Jesuit High School & George Washington High School in Denver, Colo. A 1968 graduate of Fort Hays State University, Keenan received a degree in Business Administration. He was very active in school sports and a member of the Sigma Chi Fraternity.

Upon graduation from Fort Hays State University, Keenan returned to Denver and entered the Real Estate business where he endeavored until 2000. Rick maintained a second home in Mazatlan, Mexico for many years where he eventually retired in 2001 with his family.

Rick thoroughly enjoyed spending time with his family. An excellent golfer in the day, playing cards and tennis with friends were also among favorite past times.

Rick was born in Great Bend, Kan. on Oct. 31st 1950 to Robert Patrick Keenan and Teresa Pauline Sheil. Both parents precede him in death, as does his first wife Catherine Keenan and stepmother Dorothy Keenan.

Keenan is survived by his loving wife Angelica, the Apple of his eye and beautiful daughter Ashley; two stepsons Adan and Tomas, their wives Elena and Monica; and three grandchildren, Oliver, Samuel and Monserrat; Catherine’s daughters Tammy Brown (Pagosa Springs, Colo.) and Pam Nocerino (Aurora, Colo.), children Matthew, Patrick, and Jordan; Keenan’s four siblings, Mitchell Keenan (Merida, Mexico), Jennifer Dotzenroth (David) (Watertown, Minn.), Gregory Keenan (Great Bend, Kan.) and Rodney Keenan (Isle of

Jersey, UK). Uncle Rick is also mourned by his nephews, Max, Wiley, Lucas and Jake.
