Romona Jean Snodgrass 1929 - 2015

LARNED  – Romona Jean Snodgrass, 85, passed away Aug. 9, 2015, at Diversicare of Larned. Born Oct. 16, 1929, in Larned, she was the daughter of Claude Wilburn and Flossie Bell Williams  Lewis. On Nov. 16, 1948, she married Paul Estel Snodgrass. He passed away on Dec. 3, 1982. A lifetime area resident of Larned, she was a Dietary/Food Supervisor at the Larned State Hospital and Pawnee Heights School.
Mrs. Snodgrass was a member of the United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women of Rozel and a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and the Over 50 Club, both of Garfield, Golden Rule Quilting Club and Rozel FCE.
Survivors include, two sons, James (Susan) Snodgrass, and Jerry Snodgrass, both of Rozel; four daughters, Deborah (Jerome) Mangen, of Cedar Vale, Diana Pfeifer of Hays, Donna (Brian) Pivonka, of Larned, and Julie Snodgrass, of Rozel; two sisters, Gloria Desch, of Stillwater, Minn. and Barbara Rush, of Topeka; ten grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul; two sons, Joe and John Snodgrass; two  great-grandsons, Peyton and Jaxson Snodgrass; son-in-law, Richard Pfeifer; and sister Wilma Gravel.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday at Beckwith Mortuary in Larned. Burial will be at the Garfield Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. today at Beckwith Mortuary.
