Ronald Emery Kinsinger, Jr. 1944 - 2021
ELLINWOOD — Ronald Emery Kinsinger, Jr., 77, passed away at Good Samaritan Society in Lyons, on Oct. 2, 2021. He was born in Liberal to parents Ronald Kinsinger, Sr. and Verlea (Taylor) Kinsinger on Feb. 9, 1944. Born and raised in Liberal, he graduated from Liberal High School and later attended Fort Hays State and Oklahoma State Universities. Ron worked as an insurance agent for Metlife, farmer/rancher, over-the-road industrial trucker, and ran a custom-cutting hay business. He was a resident of Ellinwood for two years and he cherished time spent with his kids and grandchildren. His hobbies included playing cards (especially pitch), attending horse shows, and hunting. His passion was showing Arabian horses.
Survivors include: daughter, Trina Marie Kinsinger, Great Bend; son, Hoyt Brandon Kinsinger, Great Bend; siblings, Andrea Soucie, Michael Kinsinger, and Kurt Kinsinger; grandchildren, Kaitlyn Nicole Steierl (Matthew), Kaylee Breann Kinsinger, Brandon Isaiah Kinsinger; and three great-grandchildren. Ron was preceded in death by his parents.
Memorial service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 9 at Minnis Chapel in Ellinwood. Memorial is suggested to Kans for Kids in care of Minnis Chapel, P.O. Box 246, Ellinwood, KS 67526.
