Ruth Ann Weber 1944 - 2021

Ruth Ann Weber, 76, passed away October 10, 2021, at Harry Hynes Hospice in Wichita. She was born on November 06, 1944, at Great Bend, to Chester and Viola (Suchy) Watkins. She married George Weber Sr. on May 5, 1962, at Great Bend. He survives. 

A lifetime resident of Great Bend, Ruth was a house keeper for several families in the community. She was a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church and the Altar Society. She enjoyed flowers, canning, fishing, outdoor activities, and most of all spending time with her family, especially the grandkids.

 Survivors include, sons George Jr. (Zola) of Great Bend, Charlie (Sarah) of Bushton, and James “Jimmie” (Tiara) of Great Bend; a daughter, Theresa Weber-Herzberg (Dale) of Great Bend; sisters Charlotte Lackey, Sandy Scofield, and Pamela Davidson; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Gerald Watkins; a grandson, Justin Lawrence Weber; and a great-grandson Michael Lee Morgan.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, October 14, 2021, with Altar Society rosary at 4:00 p.m., and Vigil and rosary at 6 p.m., all at Bryant Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, October 15, 2021, at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, Great Bend, with Father Aneesh Parappanattu presiding. Interment will be in the Hillcrest Cemetery, Great Bend. Memorials are suggested to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, in care of Bryant Funeral Home.
