ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Shirley Ann (Brown) Hardesty age 88, passed away on April 5th, 2018 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She was born on October 22, 1929, in Kansas City, Kansas, to parents Henry Allen Brown and Inez (Stanley) Brown. She was preceded in death by parents Henry and Inez, also brothers Stanley and Gail Brown, sister Beverly Davis and by one son, Kerry David Schapansky; stepson Jeff Hardesty.

She leaves behind daughter Sherri Jerrell and one son Larry Schapansky from Cleveland, Georgia and Linda Schapansky, St. Augustine, Fla., and daughter Dancel Rogers Albuquerque, N.M. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs Bonnie Arnold from Great Bend, Kansas and Brother Henry Allen Brown, Jr. from Kansas City, Missouri, two stepsons, Bruce and Kip Hardesty, and three step-grandchildren, four step-great-grandchildren. She was married to former spouse Phillip Hardesty, St. Augustine, Fla.
Shirley was a 1948 graduate of McPherson High School, McPherson. She enjoyed family times, picnics and reunions and being with her children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Shirley loved her Savior, Jesus Christ and was at peace with God.
Cremation has taken place in Albuquerque and family will have a celebration of her life at Assembly of God Church, Great Bend, on May 20 at 1:30 p.m. Memorials May be given to Assembly of God, Great Bend.
