HAYS — Susan K. Tomrdle, 68, died March 4, 2013 at the Hays Medical Center.
Born July 6, 1944, in Hays, she was the daughter of Richard O. and Rose (Altman) Tomrdle. In 1944, she graduated from Hays High School and received her bachelor of science degree in Education from Fort Hays State College in January, 1966. She taught second grade in Great Bend for many years and also taught in Goodland.
Survivors include her first cousins, Dale Akers, Hays; and Glenn Akers, Lebanon, Mo.; and many second cousins and friends.
Graveside services with inurnment will be at 1 p.m. on Friday in the Mount Allen Cemetery in Hays. Memorials may be given in her name and memory to the Hays Humane Society of the High Plains or the Ellis Good Samaritan Society Nursing Home in Ellis, Kansas.
