Teresa M. Dutton, age 59, of Great Bend, Kan. passed from this earthly life to Eternal Glory on Friday morning, Oct. 8, 2021 at her home in Great Bend. Teresa was born on Aug. 9, 1962 at Fort Worth, Texas to Bill Attwood and Patty Crawford, and grew up in Shawnee, Okla. and lived in Belle Plaine, Kan. and Wichita, Kan. before moving to Great Bend in 1986. She was united in marriage to Steven K. Dutton on July 21, 1996 at Great Bend, Kan. Teresa completed the Cosmetology Program at Barton Community College and was also a licensed CNA, and her passion for helping others led to her position as Assistant Director of the CentralKansas DreamCenter in Great Bend, where she had been working for the past 7 years. She loved crafts and outdoor activities, especially kayaking, canoeing, and hiking, and dearly loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. Teresa was a longtime member of Encounter Church in Great Bend, Kan. where she was an Alumni of the Women Of Valor Discipleship Ministry.
Survivors include her husband, Steven K. Dutton of Great Bend, Kan.; two sons, Cole (and Kristen) Dutton of Hoisington, Kan. and Robert “Rob” (and Sarah) Schmitt of Newton, Kan.; one daughter Terra M. (and Jessica) DeCarolis of Great Bend, Kan.; five grandchildren, Gwendolyn Hawkins, Pierce Keller Hull, Sophia Schmitt, Ian Dutton, and Izaac Dutton; her mother, Patty (and David) Crawford of Great Bend, Kan.; one brother, Terry (and Astrid) Attwood of Waynesville, Mo. Teresa was preceded in death by her father Bill Attwood; and a step-son Taylor Miller.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 16, 2021 at Encounter Church, 601 S. Patton Road, Great Bend, Kan. with Pastor Dwight D. Dozier officiating. According to Teresa’s wishes, cremation will follow. Memorials may be given in Teresa’s Memory to the Central KS Dream Center in Great Bend or the Great Bend Community Theater.
