Thomas Raymond Romme Jr., 46, died May 5, 2016, at the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City. Born Feb. 19, 1970, in Great Bend he was the son of the late Thomas R. Romme and Lynne (Sauer) Romme Wooster and step-son of Paul Wooster. He was a salesperson and department manager for Del’s Electronics in Salina, for 20 years.
Mr. Romme was a member of Prince of Peace Parish at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Great Bend.
Survivors include his mother and step-father, Lynne and Paul Wooster of Great Bend; one son, Nathaniel R. Fishburn of Salina; step-brother, Robert Wooster of Great Bend; step-sister, Patricia Gottschalk and her husband Gregg of Hays; and special friends, Angie Fishburn and Sasha Fishburn. He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas R. Romme; paternal grandparents, Ray and Magdalena Romme; maternal grandparents, Ben and Marian Sauer; and nephew, Shane Gottschalk.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on May 14, at Bryant Funeral Home in Great Bend. Inurnment will be at St. Fidelis Cemetery in Victoria. There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place. Memorials are requested to the Shane Strong Memorial Scholarship at Fort Hays State University, in care of the funeral home.
