Tina Louise Phillips-Marler 1964 - 2011

LARNED — Tina Louise Phillips-Marler, 46, passed away Sept. 13, 2011, at her daughter’s home in Larned. She was born Oct. 20, 1964, in Sparta, Ill.; the daughter of Stanley Stanko, Charles Sylvester and Judith Ann Carlyle Marler. A Larned resident since 1984, moving from Scott City; she worked in Dietary at the Larned State Hospital and also various restaurants.

She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Great Bend, Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts and church organizations.

On Nov. 19, 1983, she married Gerald B. Phillips and later divorced. She then married Shawn C. Hale and also divorced.

Survivors include four sons; Blain Phillips, Kuwait, Matthew Phillips and wife Angela, North Carolina, John Phillips and wife Veronica, and Aaron Phillips and wife Candice, both of Larned; a daughter; Maria Elisa Phillips Stout and husband Eldon, Larned; two sisters; Sheila Horton and husband Dale, and Stephanie Genereux and husband Alan, both of Larned; a brother; Charles Marler and wife Angie, Missouri and 13 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Alberta Mae Marler.

Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Beckwith Mortuary Chapel with Bishop Greg Perez presiding. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday and 1-8: p.m. Sunday at the mortuary. Burial will be in the Larned Cemetery. Memorials may be given to the Tina Phillips Grandchildren Educational Fund, in care of the Beckwith Mortuary, P.O. Box 477, Larned, KS 67550.
