KINSLEY — Virginia Polson, 80, died unexpectedly at home in Kinsley on Jan. 13. She was born July 27, 1930, at Rozel, the daughter of Carl E. and Hulda Edlund Polson. A resident of Kinsley, formerly of Rozel, she was a homemaker.
She belonged to the United Methodist Church, Kinsley.
Survivors include nephews, Arvid Unruh, Bakersville, Calif., Lee Polson, Austin, Texas, and Jon Lill, Tonganoxie; nieces, Carolyn Whalen and Cheri Kelley, both of Hutchinson, Connie Graves, of Healy, Jo Ann Wempe, of Lawrence, Nancy Draffen, of St. Louis, Mo., and Janet Davis,of Denver, Colo.; brother-in-law, Harlan Lill, Plainville, sister-in-law, Gladys Polson, St. Louis, Mo.; 25 great-nephews and great-nieces and 25 great-great-nephews and great-great-nieces. She was preceded in death by five brothers, Jon Eric, Chester William, Carl Melvin, Raymond and Hadley Leroy; two sisters, Ruth Unruh and Dorothy Lill; one nephew, Larry Polson; and one great-great-niece, Alexia Whalen.
Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the United Methodist Church, Kinsley, with the Rev. Dennis Kuder presiding. Visitation will be from noon until 8 p.m. today at Morell Funeral Home, Larned. Casket will remain closed. Burial will be in Garfield Cemetery, Garfield. Memorials may be sent to United Methodist Church in care of the funeral home.
