Willard Herzberg 1938 - 2015

CHASE — Willard Herzberg, 77, died Dec. 25, 2015, in Hutchinson. Born June 12, 1938, in Coffeyville, he was the son of Alvin and Rachel (Nufer) Herzberg. On Jan. 6, 1989, he married Irene Ingle. Formerly of Great Bend he was a resident of Chase for the last 27 years. He owned and operated H-H Stables in Great Bend for many years. He was also a truck driver for Branson Truck Lines and had retired in 2008.
Mr. Herzberg was a member of the Community Presbyterian Church in Chase. He was the past-president of the Kansas Western Horseman Association and a member of the ODIN Saddle Club.  
Survivors include his wife, Irene of the home; three daughters, Brenda Rowe and husband Bill, Wichita; Ricci Wells and husband John, Blue Springs, Mo.; and Pebbles Phillips and husband Jerry, El Dorado; two sons, Dale Herzberg and wife Teresa, Great Bend, and Ron Hoover and wife Sheri, El Dorado; 11 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and his Oklahoma family, Runt Ingle and wife Brenda, Ruth Sullateskee and husband Duke, David Ingle, Roy Ingle, and Puddin Ingle and wife Teresa; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friend.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Dale.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Blue Springs Church in Salina with Pastor Lorne Beck officiating. Burial followed at Ross Mayes Cemetery.
