William E. Bill Frenzl 1932 - 2015

William E. “Bill” Frenzl, 83, died Aug. 1, 2015, at Clara Barton Hospital in Hoisington. Born Feb. 9, 1932, in Odin, he was the son of Hugo and Matilda (Hoeffner) Frenzl. On Nov. 10, 1954, he married Mary Ann Hickel at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Ellinwood. She died on Oct. 20, 2005. A lifetime resident of Barton County, he was a farmer, carpenter, and a maintenance supervisor for Ref-Chem. Corp. Bushton Plant, retiring in 1997.
Mr. Frenzl was a member of Prince of Peace Parish at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Great Bend, Knights of Columbus #2630 in Odin, and Veterans of Foreign Wars of Claflin. He served during Korean Conflict in the Army and later the Army Reserves.
Survivors include three sons, Keith Frenzl and wife Jan of Great Bend, Bob J. Frenzl and wife Annette of Salina, and Roy Frenzl and wife Lori of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; three daughters, Linda Stukey and husband Larry of Great Bend, Kathy Gosser and husband Major of Clay Center, Neb., and Connie Stanley and husband Brad of Bella Vista, Ark.; one brother, Leo Frenzl of Odin; three sisters, Viola Meyeres of Odin, Gertrude Hickel of Claflin, and Dorothy Reif of Beaver; 16 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one son, Brian K. Frenzl; four brothers, Joe, Frank, August, and Larry Frenzl; two sisters, Theresa Wondra, and Marie Meyeres; and one great-granddaughter, Madison Marie Keller.
A vigil service with Knights of Columbus Rosary will be held at 7 p.m. today at Bryant Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Great Bend with Father Don Bedore officiating. Burial will be at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Great Bend, with Military Honors provided by Fort Riley Honor Guard. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
