LARNED — William Lloyd Rose, 65, passed away Jan. 8, 2022 at his home in Larned.
He was born Aug. 22, 1956 in Bridgeport, Texas, the son of Carl A. and Dorothy D. Kern Rose. A longtime area resident, he was a Correction Officer for the Larned Correctional Mental Health Facility.
He was a member of the First Christian Church, Larned, Kansas Rifle Association, NRA and the Larned Gun Club. He enjoyed shooting and hunting.
On Sept. 27, 1980, he married Gaynell Ann Ashton in Larned, Kan. She survives.
Other survivors include three daughters, Lindsey Ann Rose, Larned, Kan., Heather Lynn Thompson, Hanston, Kan., Stacy Marie Rose, Olpe, Kan.; brother, David Rose, Salina, Kan.; two sisters, Betty Rose and Diane Ring, both of Larned; four grandchildren, Wyatt Austin Thompson, William Howard Thompson, Annabeth Morgan Thompson and Morgan Odessa Smith.
A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 12, 2022 at Beckwith Mortuary, Larned, with Pastor Damon Bradley presiding. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 11, 2022 at the mortuary. Memorials may be given to the Pawnee County EMS in care of Beckwith Mortuary, Box 477 Larned, KS 67550.
