To the editor:

Their have been so many mass shootings this year that it almost makes your head spin. Everyone’s amazed by it. And we all want it to stop. And that is what brings me the point of this letter.

There is an 800 pound Gorilla in the room that no one seems to mention.

What role does the entertainment industry play in the killing mentality that pervades our culture today? Seriously! For over 100 years our nation has had groups of concerned citizens who knew the influence radio and television has on society, so they set guidelines in place for the entertainment industry to abide by. Ratings are in place to keep unwanted images out of the sight of our impressionable youths minds.

There’s big money in violent entertainment. But at what cost? Hold them accountable!
