Dear Editor,
If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.
Mayor Mike Allison has served Great Bend well for a number of years. And he is willing to continue to do what he can, day after day, to make Great Bend a better place in which to live, to work and to raise a family.
Recently I read a community news item from the office of the Great Bend Chamber of Commerce and Economic Development, which told about the Kansas Department of Commerce featuring Great Bend as a Small Town Success Story for its strides in Economic Development in recent months.
The article cited Blizzard Energy for making a $2,500,000 investment and bringing 25 jobs to the Industrial Park in the next few months, the recent purchase of Fuller Industries by local investors, the Sutherlands Lumber project on west 10th Street and the new movie theatre under construction at Lakin and Kansas.
Kudos to the chamber for their efforts to encourage such growth in our community. And a pat on the back to Mayor Allison, and the City Council, for doing all that they have to provide an attractive business climate here.
With Mayor Allison’s continued leadership, Great Bend will have an even greater future.
Please cast your ballot for continued growth in our town by marking an “X” next to Mike Allison for Mayor.
