Dear Editor,
I wanted to thank Christina Hayes, Community Coordinator, for her outstanding job on the 4th annual Party in the Park. Christina’s enthusiasm and willingness to think outside the box has been phenomenal for Great Bend. This years event consisted of the Tuff Enough Obstacle Run, Oozefest Mud Volleyball, Car Show, Twinkie Eating Contest, Dog Park Fun, Kid Zone, Concert, Fireworks and much more. This year she even got people back on the lake for canoe/kayak races. Every year Christina adds more to the fun. Anyone who does not take advantage of the day is truly missing out.
I would also like to thank Emily Goad, Chamber Director, for her help with this event along with all the city employees and others who gave up their day to make this a huge success.
Thanks to Christina and so many good people in Great Bend, we have the opportunity to attend many events, its up to us to get out and enjoy!!
