The Barton Community College men’s soccer team faced its first ranked opponent of the season, beating No. 7 Otero College (Colo.) 2-0 on Sunday at the soccer/track complex.
Vini Braga put the Cougars on the board, scoring off an assist of Ahmad Bah.
Bah scored the second goal. Italo Arcelino had the assist.
The Cougars host Hesston this afternoon at 4.

• BCC women drop game to Northwest College
The Barton women trailed early on in the game and never recovered, losing 3-1 to Northwest College (Wyo.) on Sunday at home.
Deedra Richard scored the Cougars’ lone goal.
BCC is back in action this afternoon at 2, when it hosts Hesston.
