DODGE CITY — The Barton Community College volleyball team swept Dodge City Community College 25-19, 25-12, 25-13 on Wednesday.
With the sweep the Lady Cougars continued their dominance in the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference West Division, winning 27 of 29 sets played thus far in the conference season.
Barton maintains its two-game lead in the conference at 9-0 and improves to 16-6 on the season.

BCC edges Cowley 2-1
ARKANSAS CITY — The Barton Community College women’s soccer team won its third straight game by defeating Cowley on Tuesday night in Arkansas City.
Trailing 1-0 at halftime, Barton quickly evened the score just one minute, 38 seconds into the second half on a Jessica Rosenberg goal coming from a Monica McCarthy assist.
The game appeared to be heading into overtime until Rachel Ukena scored Barton’s game-winning goal with only 4:06 remaining.

Cowley shocks No. 6 Barton 2-1
ARKANSAS CITY — In a battle for the top of the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference standings, the Cowley College men’s soccer team  shocked the No. 6-ranked Barton in a 2-1 victory in Arkansas City.
Fabio Priore scored the long goal for the Cougars.
Barton hosts Independence on Saturday.
