The Barton Community College men’s basketball team exploded for 56 first-half points enroute to a 100-78 victory on Friday night over Allen in the Coffeyville Classic.
The win improves the Cougars to 4-0 on the early season and gives Barton head coach Craig Fletchall a historic 189th win at the helm, surpassing Dan McGovern’s career mark at Barton.
Allen meanwhile takes its first loss of the season and drops to 2-1.
Freshman Isaac Williams scored 24 of his 30 points in the first half to lead five Cougars in double-digit scoring.
Darius Gibson scored 16 with point guard Tyler Corley scoring 14 and dishing out a team high six assists.
Despite only playing 16 minutes due to foul trouble, Raheem Johnson scored 12 points and led the Cougars with seven rebounds.
Trey Unrau came off the bench to score 10 on 4-of-8 shooting from the floor.
Tyrone Jones and Courtney Stockard led Allen with 13 points each with Ben Uno scoring 11. Raheem Tyner led in rebounding with nine while also reaching double-digit scoring with 10.
