HUTCHINSON — Hampered with early season injuries, only two Barton Community College men's cross-country runners were able to complete on Saturday at the Blue Dragon Invitational.

The Lady Cougars didn't compete due to injuries.

Freshman and Great Bend native Chon Chavez led the Cougars, finishing 44th out of 94 runners. Chavez completed the 8K course in a time of 30 minutes, 18.3 seconds.

Sophomore Tyler Lumpkin finished in 63rd place in a time of 31.40.2.

Barton is back in action on Saturday, Oct. 5, at the Fort Hays Tiger Invitational in Victoria.
