WEST PLAINS, Mo. — The Barton Community College volleyball team went 1-3 over the weekend at the Missouri State-West Plains tournament.
The Lady Cougars, who are ranked No. 19 in the latest NJCAA poll, were able to beat Seward County in four games, 25-14, 12-25, 25-23, 25-18, to open the competition on Friday.
To close out Friday, BCC tangled with No. 16-ranked West Plains, losing in three games, 25-22, 26-24, 25-9.
On Saturday, Barton fell to No. 17 Wallace State after taking a two-game lead, 22-25, 23-25, 25-13, 25-22, 15-9.
The Lady Cougars were bested by Jefferson College, 25-18, 25-21, 25-10.
Barton travels to Pratt tonight, with the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference match beginning at 6:30.
On Thursday night, the Lady Cougars travel to Colby for a conference match at 6:30 p.m.
