Four junior-college basketball games during the first two days, followed by a single game on the third and final day.
In an understatement, Kirkman Activity Center on the Barton Community College campus will be busy this weekend.
Barton is playing host to the nine-game Highland Hotel-Booster Club Basketball Classic today, Saturday and Sunday.
Four games — two women’s games and two men’s games — will be played today and Saturday.
Pratt and Labette will meet in women’s action today at 1 to tip off the classic, followed by Labette and Frank Phillips meeting in men’s action at 3.
Barton’s women (5-2) take on Coffeyville at 5, and Barton’s men (6-0) will play Independence at 7 in the nightcap.
On Saturday, Coffeyville and Pratt meet in women’s action at 1 p.m., followed by the Independene-Frank Phillips men’s game at 3 p.m.
The Labette-Barton women’s game is set for 5 p.m., and the Labette-Barton men’s game starts at 7.
At 3 p.m. on Sunday, Barton’s men take on Frank Phillips in the final game of the classic.
The Cougars, coached by Craig Fletchall, are coming off a 113-57 win over the Southwestern junior varsity on Tuesday at home.
Barton has eclipsed the century mark in all but one of its games thus far. The lone close game for the Cougars was a 79-69 win over Brown Mackie at the Salina Classic last weekend, considered a road outing.
The Cougars have five players averaging in double figures, led by sophomore power forward Dwayne Brunson. Averaging almost a double-double, Brunson leads Barton in scoring (20.7 points) and rebounding (9.8 points).
Sophomore forward Darius Hill is averaging 14.3 points and 7.7 rebounds, while freshman guard Algie Key is averaging 13.2 points, 8.3 rebounds and a team-leading 7.1 assists.
Sophomore guard Carl Wallace is averaging 11.5 points and 6.8 rebounds, and Turon Parker, a freshman guard, is averaging 10.2 points.
Barton’s women are guided  by Darin Spence, in his first season at BCC.
The Lady Cougars are paced by sophomore forward Dionne Harris, who leads the team in scoring (13.7) and rebounding (7.6). She is also shooting a team-best 54.4 percent on field goals.
Freshman guard Blair Bloomfield ranks second on the team in scoring (10.7) and rebounding (5.3).
